Spreading the word

Cultivating a Literary Community

We host the Roar Reading Series in hopes of forging a literary community in this great state of nutmegs and constitutions. Connecticut has a rich literary history to draw upon, from Mark Twain to Eugene O'Neil to J.D. Salinger. Writing is often too solitary of a pursuit, and it's hard to remember, especially in this quiet corner of CT, that we are not alone. We seek to bring together writers and readers to share stories, successes, and inspiration from which we all may draw as we continue to drag our pens across the page.

Syllable

The mission of Syllable: A Reading Series is to provide a space for Connecticut writers of all levels to showcase their work, and to expose the public to a variety of writing styles. Syllable aims to be another brick in the strong arts community in the Greater Hartford area.
Speak Up
